About Us

Llama Lookout is found at the head of the Lyttelton Harbour. The spectacular views from the extinct volcanic crater rim through Governors Bay to Lyttelton Harbour were the inspiration for its name.

The 30 or so llamas of Llama Lookout thrive in the rugged hillside of Governors Bay.

Robyn and Mike Robinson and two children, Flax and Ferne, love the llamas and consider them part of their extended family. They all have names and are easily recognised due to their unique personalities and quirky differences. "We love them all and consider them the safest of all pets. Llamas are the ultimate lifestyler’s choice for fun, fibre and freedom."

Robyn and Mike started breeding their top quality llamas in 1997. Focusing on quality, rather than quantity, they have specialised in full Chilean ‘woolly type’ llamas. They are well trained, friendly and calm.

With our exciting USA llama imports we are now specialising in Genuine Suri Llamas.
